Presales Engineer (xxx, France)
xxx, a pioneer and a leading brand name in TV-centric embedded media center solutions, seeks a dynamic individual with contagious high energy and drive to join xxxInternational Commercial Team as a Pre-sales Engineer. Candidates will be required to live in the xxx, France area.
Position:
As an excellent communicator and a “go to person”, the candidate will provide high-quality technical support to the commercial team. Responsibilities include:
• Explain the unique features and benefits of the xxx solutions through presentations, demonstrations, seminars. Compare them to those of a competitor s products. Win the technical decision in every sales cycle.
• Deliver winning product presentations to technical and management personnel.
• Effectively communicate with internal stake holders (Sales, Product Management, Development, and Management) regarding customer needs. Take ownership of technical issues until satisfactory conclusion.
• Active technical leadership in RFPs/RFIs from customers.
• Set-up, participation, and handling technical presentations at tradeshows and conferences on a worldwide basis.
• Identify client requirements and ensure proactive communications with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Active in shaping commercial strategy in collaboration with Marketing
Additional responsibilities include providing input gained from customer and market interaction into product management to shape xxx product and services roadmap.
Required Skills/Background:
• Experience as a Presales Engineer or Field Application Engineer or Technical Product Management in the embedded industry (e.g., Telco, Cable, Broadcast, STB, SoC).
• Deep understanding of Set-Top Box hardware and middleware and technical command of Embedded SW, Linux OS, Web technologies.
• Strong communicator in English.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communications skills that include professional presentation skills
• Out-going personality
o self-starter
o cooperative attitude
o team player
• Must be willing to travel extensively on a global basis.
• Competitive Advantages For Candidate:
o Deep understanding of the complete technical value chain in IPTV/Cable market (i.e., broadcast, software, CAS/DRM, software, in-home connectivity, Codecs, SoC).
o negotiation and implementation
